Kea's 6th Birthday!

Our family has a tradition of allowing the birthday kiddo to pick a family outing for their birthday.  Kea knew for a year that she was going to go to the Hogle Zoo.  We had such a blast... all of our favorite thing was the BEAUTIFUL unique carousel. 

Each animal is different... and a work of art.  I love it.

They also have the train ride that tours a part of the zoo. 

We have loved having older children to take places and see things all over again through their eyes.  It will be fun to have a baby again... but I will sure miss how easy it was to go places and play together.

Nani really wanted to get Kea a present (we have pushed more service oriented presents in the past), and went shopping with her own money and a toys r us coupon in hand to buy her something.  She got an awesome deal, and made her little sis so happy. :) 

Kea wanted a tall chocolate cake that she saw on tv... so I decided to be daring and bake one from scratch.  It was delicious... and oh so bad for you.  :)

Happy 6th Birthday Kea!  I still can't believe how old you are getting.  I love your friendly nature, spunk, athleticism, thoughtfulness, and silliness.  You are such a loving daughter, sister, and friend.
